Abstract:Objective To review systematically the curative effect of trimetazidine on stable angina pectoris (SAP).Methods The databases of Cochrane Central Register of Contronlled Trials, MEDLINE, Embase, PubMed, CNKI and WangFang Database were retrieved for collecting randomized controlled trials (RCT) about trimetazidine in intervention treatment of SAP, and at the same time, the reference in included RCT was traced back from the establishment time of databases to Dec. 2012. The quality of included RCT was strictly reviewed, data was extracted, and those accorded with inclusion criterion were given Meta-analysis.Results There were totally 11 RCT included involving 1683 cases of SAP. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the comparison between trimetazidine and routine simple anti-angina therapy had statistical differences in 6 aspects, including times of weekly angina attack (WMD=-1.65, 95%CI: -2.27- -1.03), weekly nitroglycerin consumption (WMD=-0.90, 95%CI: -1.14- -0.66), ECG improvement (WMD=1.33, 95%CI: 1.16-1.52), the threshold of ST-segment 1 mm lowering during exercise test (WMD=58.67, 95%CI: 45.38-71.96), the maximum lowering amplitude of ST-segment (WMD=-0.29, 95%CI: -0.40- -0.19), and duration of exercise test (WMD=62.04, 95%CI: 42.87-81.21). Conclusion The administration of trimetazidine on the basis of routine drugs for angina will improve the curative effect in the patients with SAP.
