Abstract：Depression is a major global public health challenge with a complex pathogenesis.Current treatment options have limitations in terms of onset of action,side effects,and relapse prevention.Shenge Bushen Capsules has demonstrated reliable efficacy and a favorable safety profile in treating mild to moderate depression characterized by deficiency of both qi and yin,and insufficiency of kidney qi.This article analyzed the pathogenesis of depression and systematically reviewed the formulation theory,pharmacodynamic mechanisms,and clinical applications of Shenge Bushen Capsules,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further research and clinical promotion of this preparation.
