Chemical components,pharmacological effects and quality marker prediction of Radix Paeoniae Rubra

Abstract：Paeonia lactiflora Pall.is the dried root of Paeonialactiflora Pall.or Paeonia veitchii Lynch.It has been found to contain monoterpenes,monoterpene glycosides,phenolic acids and other components.Based on the review of the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Radix Paeoniae Rubra,this paper focuses on the concept of quality marker(Q-marker)of traditional Chinese medicine.We predict and analyze the Q-markers of Radix Paeoniae Rubra from the aspects of plant genetics and chemical composition specificity,origin and harvest time,traditional efficacy,different compatibility environments,as well as traditional medicinal properties.It was found that paeoniflorin,albiflorin,benzoylpaeoniflorin,oxypaeoniflorin and gallic acid can be used as Q-markers of Radix Paeoniae Rubra.This article provides theoretical ideas for the formulation and improvement of scientific quality standards of Radix Paeoniae Rubra.
