Abstract：Lophatherum Gracile Brongn.is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb known for its therapeutic effects,such as clearing heat and relieving fire,promoting urination and easing painful urination,as well as alleviating thirst and restlessness.Its main chemical components include flavonoids,terpenoids,volatile compounds,phenolic acids,and polysaccharides,which contribute to various biological activities of the drug,including antioxidant,antimicrobial,antitumor,and anti-inflammatory effects.This review summarizes the research progress on the chemical composition,pharmacological effects,and quality marker(Q-marker)prediction of Lophatherum Gracile Brongn.,exploring the correlation between its pharmacological basis and quality control.Based on the Q-marker theory,and considering the measurability of its chemical components,efficacy,medicinal properties,and content variations,we propose orientin,isoorientin,coumarin,coumaric acid,and volatile components as the potential quality markers.Finally,the article summarizes and anticipates the future research directions in the pharmacological mechanism,quality control technology optimization,and sustainable utilization of Lophatherum Gracile Brongn.,providing a basis for its development and clinical application in traditional Chinese medicine.
