A retrospective study on the curative effect of Tongluo Qutong plaster applied to acupoints in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy of Tongluo Qutong plaster acupoint in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods:A retrospective study method was used to collect 54 CSR patients admitted to the Cerebrovascular Disease Department of Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2023.According to different treatment plans,they were divided into an observation group of 27 cases and a control group of 27 cases.The observation group was given electroacupuncture treatment followed by acupoint application of Tongluo Qutong plaster,selecting Quchi,Xiaohai,Tianjing(on the lesion side),and Jiaji points 4 to 7 on the neck(on the lesion side);the control group was given diclofenac diethylamine emulsion combined with electroacupuncture treatment regimen lasted for 3 weeks.The visual analogue score,TianZhong jingjiu symptom Scale and the incidence of adverse reactions before and after treatment were observed,and the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was evaluated.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 96%and that of the control group was 74%.The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group.After treatment,the VAS scores of the observation group and the control group were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS score(2.44±0.47)of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(4.78±0.62),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,Tianzhong jingjiu Spondylosis Symptom Scale 20 score was higher than before treatment(P<0.05),and the score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);2 cases of mild skin itching occurred in each group during the treatment and relieved after topical application of ointment or discontinuation of medication,which did not affect the clinical efficacy.There was no significant difference in the safety of the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application of Tongluo Qutong plaster combined with electroacupuncture can relieve the symptoms of cervical spondylosis,shorten the course of treatment,and improve the quality of life of the patients.
