Literature analysis of adverse reactions caused by abemaciclib

Abstract:Objective:To study and analyze the regularity and characteristics of adverse reactions caused by abemaciclib,so as to provide reference for clinical safe and rational drug use.Methods:From the establishment of CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,PubMed and Web of Science and other databases to July 2024,the case reports of adverse reactions related to abemaciclib were searched and statistically analyzed.Results:A total of 34 literatures were included,involving 35 patients,of which 31 were female(88.57%)and 4 were male(11.43%),and the majority of which were 60 years old above(18 cases,51.43%).Most of the diseases were breast cancer(30 cases,85.71%).Adverse reactions occurred within 4 days~23 months after taking the drug,mainly within 6 months after starting the drug(25 cases,71.43%),and mainly involved multiple organs and systems such as digestion,blood,respiratory,endocrine,cardiovascular,and immune systems.Among the patients,23 cases(65.71%)showed improvement of adverse reactions after symptomatic treatment,and 2 cases(5.71%)died due to ineffective treatment of lung injury.Therefore,abemaciclib has potential risk of death.Conclusion:Healthcare professionals should strengthen the prevention and monitoring of the adverse reactions of abemaciclib to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug use.
