Abstract:Capivasertib,a protein kinase B(AKT)inhibitor, was officially approved by the U.S.FDA on November 16,2023.The 2024 Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines recommends it as a treatment option for the failure of endocrine therapy combined with cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor in patients with advanced breast cancer.Currently, the domestic listing application is under review. As the world's first approved AKT inhibitor, capivasertib,in combination with fulvestrant, can improve the median progression-free survival and overall survival of patients with hormone receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It has a good safety profile, thus being a promising application prospect.
