Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical rationality for the use of omadacycline toluene sulfonate for injection at Jilin Provincial People's Hospital. Methods:The Rational Drug Use Evaluation Group has established the criteria for rational drug use based on a consensus of the omadacycline drug instructions and related clinical guidelines.A retrospective study was conducted utilizing an attribute hierarchy model(AHM)to evaluate and analyze the medical records of 90 patients who received this drug at our hospital from January 2024 to July 2024.Results:The main problems in the clinical application of this drug at our hospital included unreasonable indications,no loading dose in the first dose and a long course of treatment.Medical record score(MRS)was obtained by AHM method. There were 4 cases with MRS<60 points,8 cases with 60≤MRS<80 points,48 cases with 80≤MRS<90 points, and 30 cases with 90≤MRS<100 points. Conclusion:The rationality of clinical use of omadacycline at our hospital still requires enhancement, and further effective measures should be taken for targeted intervention. As a new method for drug rationality evaluation,AHM has the advantages of scientific rationality, real objective, simple and practical.
