Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of Tibetan medicine combination regimen on the rates of negative nucleic acid conversion and symptom resolution in mild COVID-19 patients in plateau regions. Methods:A total of 653 patients were involved in the study and were assigned to either Tibetan medicine group(Cuitang granules+Liugan pills+Renqing Mangjue capsules+DasiMabao pills)or the Control group(no Tibetan medicine),based on theor willingness to received treatment. The rates of negative nucleic acid conversion and symptom remission were evaluated following the intervension. Results:There was no significant difference in the negative nucleic acid conversion rate and duration of residence between the Tibetan medicine and the Control group(no Tibetan medicine)(P>0.05).However,the therapeutic effects of Tibetan medicine were better than those of Control group in alleviating symptoms of fever, cough, headache, dry pharyngeal pain, nasal congestion, fatigue and other related aspects(P<0.01).Conclusion:The combination regimen of Tibetan medicine offers distinct advantages in relieving symptoms associated with novel coronavirus infection, including fever, cough, headache, sore throat and nasal congestion.
