Microdialysis and its applications in transdermal drug delivery formulations

Abstract：Microdialysis technology,as a technique for in vivo sampling,was initially widely used in neuroscience research of the brain and later extensively applied in peripheral tissues.Microdialysis technology has played a significant role in studying tissue penetration and distribution of drugs in target tissues,and pharmacokinetics in vivo.This paper provides an overview of the development and application areas of microdialysis technology,describing its principles,relative recovery(exchange efficiency),equipment composition and characteristics,and the latest advancements in its application of transdermal drug delivery formulations in details.This review contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the importance of microdialysis technology and its application value and advancements in various fields.
