Research on the development trend of human papillomavirus vaccine based on patent perspective

Abstract：HPV vaccine related patents were searched in the PatSnap patent search database.The trend of patent applications,the place of origin of technologies,and the ranking of key applicants were analyzed,as well as the technological hotspots of the existing patents and the patented technologies of key applicants,with a view to provide references for the innovative research and development of HPV vaccines and patent applications in China.At present,the main technical fields of HPV vaccines focus on viral antigens,coding fusion proteins,and heterogeneous peptides.Beijing Health Guard Biotechnology Inc.and Xiamen University&Innovax develop HPV vaccine using prokaryotic expression system,which is a new technical route.In the future,China should speed up the interna-tionalization of domestic vaccines,focus on research hotspots,and strengthen innovative research and development,so as to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to the global prevention and control of cervical cancer.
