Abstract:Organoids are tissue analogues with certain spatial structures formed by three-dimensional culture of embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells or pluripotent stem cells in vitro, which can highly simulate the structure and function of tissues in vivo, and have similar histological and genotypic characteristics to human organs. The rise and development of organoids have opened up a new path for medical research, especially in the evaluation of new drugs, showing good development prospects and broad application potential,so attracting widespread attention from people from all walks of life. This paper discusses the application of organoids in the evaluation of new drugs, including the application status of preclinical studies, clinical trials, and relevant policies and regulations of drug regulatory agencies,in order to provide references for the research and application of organoids in the field of new drug evaluation.
