Methods of indirect comparison of clinical treatments and case analysis

Abstract：Scientific indirect comparison holds important practical value and has gained widespread clinical attention.In general,indirect comparison methods are classified into several categories based on whether there is a common control group(anchored or unanchored),whether adjustment for confounding factors is performed(adjusted or unadjusted),and the adjustment methods used(matching adjustment or regression adjustment).Different methods vary in application scenarios,implementation steps,advantages and disadvantages.There was a lack of systematic introduction to indirect comparison methods in previous domestic literature,leading to various issues when clinical and research professionals made use of these methods.Therefore,this article aimed to provide a systematic introduction to the main methods of indirect comparison.By combining classical cases,we emphasized the application scenarios and implementation steps of each method.Finally,through a comprehensive comparison based on advantages and disadvantages,we provided recommendations for the selection of indirect comparison methods.
