Research progress in therapeutic drug monitoring of ceftazidime/avibactam

Abstract：Ceftazidime/avibactam(CAZ/AVI)is a new type of cephalosporin/β-lactamase inhibitor compound preparation.In order to achieve better treatment results in different types of patients and reduce the risk of drug resistance and incidence of adverse reactions,therapeutic drug monitoring(TDM)is often used clinically to monitor the concentration of CAZ/AVI in vivo.This article reviews the significance of implementing TDM for CAZ/AVI,current TDM methods,PK/PD monitoring indicators,and the current status of implementing TDM in special populations,to provide a basis for the individualization of CAZ/AVI treatment.
