Study on preparation and dissolution of trollius suppository

Abstract：Objective:To explore the formulation and dissolution of trollius suppository for children.Methods:Use the single factor to investigate the perusion temperature and PEG types;in this experiment,in order to optimize the prescription,the appearance,hardness,weight variation and melting time are measured by orthogonal test.Meanwhile,the dissolution property is evaluated.Results:The best prescription of trollius suppository is nasturtium extract 20 g (16.7％),PEG-1500 64 g(53.3％),S-40 27 g (22.5％),and glycerol 9 g(7.5％),totally 100 pieces of shells are made.The acquired suppositories have smooth appearance,and the hardness,weight variation,melting time are all meet the standards.The dissolution is determined according to the China,with pH 7.4 phosphate buffer as the dissolution medium,the content of total flavonoids is determined by UV-spectrophotometry at 500 nm wavelength.Conclusion:The optimized formulation process is stable and feasible,and the dissolution test method conforms to the requirements of methodology.It provides the experimental basis for the quality standard of trollius suppository,and provides the basis for further research on the trollius suppository.
