Sugammadex: a novel selective muscle relaxant antagonist

Abstract：Sugammadex is a novel drug that reverses the effect of the steroidal nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocking agents.Intravenous sugammadex resulted in rapid,rredictable recovery from moderate and deep neuromuscular blockade,with significant superiority than acetycholinesterase.Sugammadex also demonstrated efficacy in various special patient population,including patients with organ dysfunction or myasthenia gravis and morbidly obses patients.The action mechanism,pharmacokinetics,clinical research and safety of Sugammadex are introduced in this paper.
