Bezlotoxumab——a new human monoclonal antibody for the prevention of Clostridium difficile infection

Abstract：Clostridium difficile infection is a major cause of hospital-acquired diarrhea,and the incidence is increasing.As the most common pathogen for healthcare-associated infection in European and American countries,Clostridium difficile infection has become increasingly popular in China and has posed a great threat to public health.It was approved as a human monoclonal antibody against toxin B,for the prevention of Clostridium difftcile infection recurrence in combination with standard antibacterial drugs in patients 18 years of age or older.The pharmacological actions,dosage and administration,related clinical researches about the efficacy and safety were reviewed in this paper.
