Therapeutic effect of osthole on APP/PS1 double transgenic AD mice

Abstract：Objective:to study the therapeutic effect of osthole on APP/PS1 double transgenic mouse model of AD.Methods:the six months old APP/PS1 double transgenic male mice were randomly divided into model group and osthole group,with the same months old C57BL/6 male mice as negative control group;after six weeks,the ability of learning and memory of mice were detected by Morris water maze;HE and Nissl staining in mouse brain injury;the expression of Aβ protein in mice brain was detected by immunohistochemistry technique.Results:compared with the model group,the osthole group could improve the learning and memory ability of APP/PS1 mice,reduce the pathological damage of brain tissue,and downregulate the expression of Aβ protein in brain tissue of mice.Conclusion:the therapeutic effect of osthole on APP/PS1 double transgenic mice,it reduce the brain pathological injury and improve the ability of learning and memory in mice,which may be related to the expression decrease of Aβ.
