Progress in studies on new formulation and bioavailability of baicalin

Abstract：Baicalin is a kind of flavonoid compounds,which is extracted from the dried root of scutellaria baicalensis.Due to its widespread pharmacological activities and high safety,baicalin has good prospects of clinical application.In recent years,it is very hot to study new formulations and bioavailability of baicalin.In this paper we summarized the new formulations of baicalin and their pharmacology on the basis of domestic and overseas literature during the last 5 years.It is hoped to give a reference for better utilization of baicalin.
