Cost-effectiveness analysis of Shenfu injection combined with conventional therapy in treating heart failure

Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and economy of Shenfu injection combined with conventional therapy for heart failure patients.Methods:From the perspective of payer,a one-year decision tree model was constructed in hospitalized heart failure patients with Ⅲ,Ⅳ grade as the study subject.The model parameters were calculated according to the health insurance data,meta-analysis results,and literature data.The subgroup analysis was performed in accordance with the course of treatment (7-day,14-day).Results:For one-year time frame,compared with conventional therapy,the Shenfu injection (7-day course) combined with conventional therapy were dominant.The total cost and effectiveness of conventional therapy remained unchanged,the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of Shenfu injection (14-days course) was 9 016 RMB/QALY when compared with conventional therapy,which was less than GDP per capita of 2015 (49 351 RMB).Conclusion:The 7-day and 14-day courses of Shenfu injection combined with conventional therapy are more cost-effective than conventional therapy,especially for 7-day course.
