Effects of drug price on drug innovation-from the perspective of system dynamics

Abstract：The aim of the article is to study the effect of drug price on the engagement of enterprises in drug innovation activities thus to promote the development of pharmaceutical industry.Using the method of system dynamics,the effect path through which drug price influences the innovative activities was analyzed by causality diagram.The drug price affects the innovative activities through market demands,clinical demand and innovation environment.The government should manage the pharmaceutical markets to perfect the patent protection,reflect the quality levels of drugs by setting different prices,and appropriately protect the interests of the enterprises to promote innovation.
