Prospective clinical study of live combined bifidobacterium and lactobacillus tablets in the treatment of viral enteritis

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical effects of live combined bifidobacterium and lactobacillus bacteria tablets in treatment of norovirus enteritis,and to observe their influence on the inflammatory factors and intestinal microbiota.Methods:During the norovirus epidemic,one hundred and one patients with norovirus enteritis admitted in this hospital from September 2015 to April 2016 were allocated in this study,they were randomly divided into two groups.Sufferers in observation group were treated by dioctahedral smectite combined with live combined bifidobacterium and lactobacillus bacteria tablets,and patients in control group were treated with dioctahedral smectite.The symptom recovery time,serum inflammatory factors,and intestinal flora were observed before and after the treatment.Results:In the remittence of clinical symptoms,in comparison with the control group,the duration for disappearance of fever and vomiting in patients of observation group were shorter than those of patients in control group (P ＜ 0.05).As to inflammatory factors,in comparison with control group after treatment,levels of IL-6 and TNF-α decreased significantly in those of observation group (P ＜ 0.05),while the bacillus,bacterium lacticum and escherichia of observation groups were higher than those of control group (P ＜0.05).Conclusion:Live combined bifidobacterium and lactobacillus bacteria tablets can effectively shorten the symptom recovery time,alleviate inflammatory reactions and balance the intestinal microbiota in patients with norovirus enteritis,hence it is worthy of clinical promotion.
