Research progress of puerarin in the treatment of experimental liver injury
Abstract：Puerarin is an isoflavone component extracted from Kudzu (Pueraria lobata).A number of studies have demonstrated that puerarin possesses protecting activities for liver injury induced by chemical substances,alcohol,surgery,and so on.We have reviewed the related literatures and summarized research progress about puerarin on protection of experimental liver injury of animals in recent years.The effects and mechanism of puerarin in the treatment of liver injuries were clarified.This paper will provide a basis for the further study of puerarin on liver injury.
