Progress of clinical research of peramivir in the treatment of influenza

Abstract：Objective:To provide reference for rational use of peramivir.Methods:Foreign literatnres about the clinical effectiveness and safety of peramivir for the treatment of influenza were collected and summarized.Results:A total of 303 papers were retrieved,and 10 reports were screened out.The research results showed that peramivir had good safety and tolerability in healthy subjects.The disease durations were 38.7 and 45.5 h respectively for patients of hospitalized flu without complications who received 400 mg and 200 mg peramivir treatment,and the average time for ease of flu symptoms in infected patients at high risk was 68.6 h.For treatment of seasonal influenza A H3N2 influenza,the patients receiving peramivir had the shortest time for the body temperature to drop to below 37.5 ℃ degrees (mean 17.0 h).For the elderly,pediatric,and pregnant influenza patients with underlying diseases,peramivir had more significant efficacy compared with other inhibitors of neuraminidase.Conclusion:Peramivir is well tolerated,not prone to drug resistance,and has better safety,thus is an anti-influenza drug with high application value.
