New drugs approved globally in 2016: retrospect and prospect

Abstract：The year of 2016 is an extraordinary year for the field of biomedicine.In this year,the global major pharmaceutical enterprises all have been successful in new drugs R&D.The new drugs approved in the United States,the European Union,Japan and South Korea in 2016,including new molecular entities (NMEs) and new therapeutic biologics,were reviewed in this paper,with focus on related key clinical trials.In addition,the new drugs which are worthy of attention in 2017 are forecasted,so as to provide reference for people engaged in new drugs R&D.
