A theoretical framework of essential drug accessibility assessment in China

Abstract:The objective of this article is to build an indicator system for the assessment of essential drug accessibility in China,aiming at providing theoretical basis for the empirical analysis.The policy performance evaluation and the Donabedian "Structure-Process-Outcome (SPO)" three-dimensional theory,which is a frequently used tool for the performance evaluations of health projects,were applied in this research.An indicator system consisting of a series of primary indicators and specific secondary indicators was constructed on the basis of structure,process and outcome indicators.
