Lipid-lowering and pleiotropic effects of ezetimibe co-administration

Abstract：Ezetimibe(a cholesterol absorption inhibitor)co-administration with statins is beneficial in safety and efficacy.Its co-administration with fibrates,nicotinic acid and bile acid-binding resins has better tolerance and efficacy as well.Combination of ezetimibe with statins shows pleiotropic effects in lowing CRP,inhibiting platelet aggregation,protecting endothelium and inhibiting atherosclerosis.
