Abstract:Objective: To prepare and characterize hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) phospholipid complex with high liposolubility compared with HCPT. Methods: Tetrahydrofuran was used as complex solvent to prepare HCPT phospholipid complex. The ultraviolet spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry were adopted to characterize HCPT phospholipid complex. The solubility of HCPT phospholipid complex in octanol and chloroform were investigated. Results:Infrared spectroscopic and DSC analysis proved the formation of the phospholipid complex. The solubility of the complex was significantly improved but unstable in chloroform. Conclusion: HCPT was complex with the polarized end of lecithin. The liposolubility and dissolved rate were improved.
