Abstract:Objective:To establish a HPLC method for content determination of taurine. Methods:The samples of taurine powder were separated by HPLC and derived with o-phthaldialdehyde (OPA)in post-column. The mobile phase consisted of phosphate buffer (pH 7.0)-acetonitrile-water (70:15:15) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min~(-1). The oven temperature was set at 60℃,and the detection wavelength was set at 338 nm. The computa-tion was performed with peak area external reference method. Results:The linear range of taurine was 40~400 mg·L~(-1)(r=0.999 6). The recovery rate was 101.1% (RSD 1.7%). The parent sample was stable within 20 hours(RSD=1.0%). The limit of detection was 2 ng. Conclusion:The method is simple, rapid, sensitive, repro-ducible, accurate and reliable.
