Control and evaluation of penetration enhancers for the transdermal drug delivery systems

Abstract：As a promising aspect of the new drug research and development, the reasonable use and quality control of the penetration enhancers in the transdermal drug delivery system (TDDS) is getting more and more important in the international pharmaceutical research area. The rule of penetration enhancer' s selection was discussed through the interpretation of the penetration mechanism and co-effective between the drug and the penetration enhancers. Also the drug evaluation methods and the fundamental technical rules of the use of the penetration enhancers in the TDDS and the external dermal effective preparations were introduced.
