Advance in the research of new calcium sensitizers

Abstract：Calcium sensitizers are inotropic drugs. They exert intropic effects by enhancing the sensitiza-tion of contractile proteins to calcium. Calcium sensitizers could avoid the disadvantages of traditional inotropic drugs that would increase the myocardial oxygen consumption and cause the intracellular calcium overload. These new inotropic drugs have good development prospect in the treatment of heart failure and shock, and in heart protection. This article summarized the advance in the research of these drugs.
