Abstract:Drug toxic pathology is the key point in the detection of drug toxicity. Traditional morphological pathology is the golden criterion of clinical diagnosis, but it is obviously subjective, and is only accurate in qualita-tion, not in quantitation, which cannot meet the need of the high standard demands in drug safety evaluation. To further study the toxic injury and deterioration of drug, a wide variety of new techniques and methods were applied in drug toxic pathology. These new techniques include immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization. Confocal laser scanning microscope technique, laser capture microdissection, flow cytometry, toxicological chip, molecular ima-ging technologies, etc. These new techniques make up for the limitations and insufficiencies of traditional morpho-logic pathology and supply more research ideas and means to resolve problems in toxicologic pathology.
