Abstract:Objective: To observe the effect of ketamine combined with sufentanil in patient-controlled intravenous analgesia ( PCIA) after abdomen operations. Methods: A total of 120 adult patients (18 ~60 years-old) , ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ, were randomly divided into four groups ( n = 30 in each group ) . Sufentanil (2 μg · kg~(-1) ) , sufentanil ( 2 μg·kg~(-1) ) + ketamine (3 mg·kg~(-1) ), sufentanil (2 μg·kg~(-1)) + ketamine (4 mg · kg~(-1)), or sufentanil (2 μg· kg~(-1) ) + ketamine (5 mg·kg~(-1) ) was respectively used in a volume of 100 mL,and 4 mg tropisetron was added in all patients. VAS,sedation,RR,and SpO_2 were recorded at the time points of 4,24and 48 h after operation. Results: VAS was significantly higher in sufentanil alone group than in other groups at all three time points ( P < 0. 05 or P<0.01). VAS was significantly higher in groups combined with ketamine 4 and 5 mg· kg~(-1) than in group combined with ketamine 3 mg·kg~(-1) at all three time points (P < 0.05 ) . Conclusion: In PCIA, ketamine (4 mg · kg~(-1) in 48 h) combined with sufentanil can provide better and safer post-operative analgesia.
