Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate in treating hepatic dysfunction complicated by severe thoracic trauma. Methods: Patients with hepatic dysfunction complicated by acute severe thoracic trauma ( n = 30) were randomly divided into 2 groups, and treated with or without magnesuim iso-glycyrrhizinate. The changes in ALT,AST,ALP,TBIL and ALB before and after treatment were compared between 2 groups. Results: The indicators of hepatic function (ALT,AST,ALP and TBIL) were markedly improved 2 weeks after treatment in both groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05). The levels of ALT,AST and TBIL were much lower in magnesuim isoglycyrrhizinate group than in control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Magnesuim isoglycyrrhizinate has a satisfactory effect on hepatic dysfunction complicated by severe thoracic trauma.
