Abstract：Objective: To develop a new method for synthesis of guaiaspir. Methods: A new synthetic meth-od for guaiaspir was established by the treatment of salicylic acid and guaiaeol under ultrasound. Results:This new synthesis method would shorten reaction time from 6.0 h to 3.5 h, and the yield would be increased from 43.8% to 46.7%. Conclusion: This new synthesis method is feasible to prepare guaiaspir.
