P^N-chelated palladium complex as catalysts for the synthesis of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug felbinac by the SuzuKi cross-coupling

Abstract：Objective:To synthesize felbinac by cross-coupling using P^N-chelated palladium complex as catalysts. Methods:THF/H_2O was used as the solvent, felbinac was synthesized from phenylboronic acid and 4-bromophenylacetate via cross-coupling mediated by P^N-chelated palladium complex. Results and Conclusion: P^ N-chelated palladium complex showed a high catalytic activity for preparing felbinac; the yield was 89% in a mix-ture of aqueous and organic solvents at warm temperature.
