Abstract:Objective: To compare the effects of dispensing granule and traditional slice Si-Wu decoctions on the number of circulating blood cells in blood-deficient mice. Methods:blood-deficiency (hemopenia) was es-tablished by exanguinating 0. 5 mL of blood combined with uses of CTX and APH in mice. The effect of the dispen-sing granule decoction on the number of circulating blood cells was compared with that of the traditional slice decoc-tion. Results:The low, middle and high doses of both the traditional slice and dispensing granule Si-Wu decoctions apparently increased the number of circulating blood cells. Conclusion: The dispensing granule decoction is effec-tive on blood-deficiency as that of the traditional slice decoction.
