Abstract:Objective:To compare the safety and efficacy of fentanyl and oxycodone-acetaminophen in old patients with painless colonoscopy under propofol anesthesia. Methods:Forty patients underwent painless colonosco-fentanyl (n = 20) or took a single oral dose of oxycodone - acetaminophen (n = 20) , followed by anesthesia with MAP, HR and SpO2, were continuously monitored. The dosage of propofol, the time for complete colonoscopy, av-erage recovery time, leaving hospital time and side effects were recorded. Results:MAP, HR and SpO2 were signifi-cantly decreased after fentanly treatment (P <0. 01). The average recovery time, leaving hospital time and side effects were significantly shorter or less in oxycodone-acetaminophen group than in the fentanyl group (P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Oxycodone-acetaminophen is a safer and more effective treatment in old patient with painless colonos-copy under propofol anesthesia.
