Abstract：Objective:To check the purity of lidamycin,a macromolecular protein antibiotic for cancers by the method of SDS-PAGE.Methods:Samples of different purities and samples of different HPLC purities were analyzed by electrophoresis.Results:Of more purified samples,the protein of greater HPLC purity was also with greater electrophoresis purity,on the contrary,the impurities undetected by HPLC method can be revealed by electrophoresis method.Conclusion:SDS-PAGE is an effective and essential method for testing the purity of protein samples.
