Abstract：Objective:To study the effects of puerarin glucose injection (PGI) on acute myocardial ischemia (AMI) induced by left descending anterior coronary artery ligation in dogs.Methods:The effects of PGI 83mg*kg-1 given by continuous 4h infusion on AMI induced by method mentioned above,were observed by epicardial electrogram,myocardial enzymes and histomorphometrical studies.Results:PGI could obviously improving the epicardial electrogram,decreasing the myocardial enzyme level, confining the seize of myocardial infarct,and decreasing the serum CK,CK-MB,AST,and LDH level.Conclusion:PGI is effective in treatment of experimental AMI in dogs.
