Abstract：Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of tropiset ron mesylate(Trop) in prevention of nausea and vomiting induced by cisplatin and adriamycin.Methods:Patients were assigned randomly to receive metoclo pramide or Trop in the first cycle of chemotherapy and then changed to the other in the second cycle of chemotherapy.Results:The efficacy of Trop was significantly superior to that of metoclopramide at the first day of chemotherap y (P<0.01) and slightly superior to metoclopramide at 1～3 day of chemother apy (P>0.05).The main side effects of Trop were headache,dizziness,constipat ion,dry mouth,fatigue/hypersomnia and insomnia.Conclusion:Trop is an e ffective agent for control of acute vomiting and inappetence induced by chemothe rapy.
