Advances in clinical uses of lentinan

Abstract：Lentinan is a polysaccharide with cancer-inhibitory and immunopotentiating activities.In recent years,it is widely used to treat ca ncers such as gastric cancer,liver cancer,lung cancer and tumors in blood system .Due to its immunopotentiating activity,now it is used to treat viral hepatitis. In addition,lentinan is also effective in treatment of repeated infections in re spiratory tract of children,dermatosis and chorionitis.In this paper,progress in its clinical applications is reviewed.
