Abstract：Objective:To establish a method for determination of smi glabrin in smilax glabra.Methods:Spectrofluorimetric method was adopte d using absolute alcohol as solvent and determined at Ex=388nm and Em=503nm.Results:The method has a linear range of 0.4～8.0 μg/ml, F=0.3161+6.8 615C,r=0.9995.The average recovery was 99.14% with a RSD=0.98%.The smiglabrin co ntent in smilax glabra obtained was 0.53%.Conclusions:A simple, rapid,and sensitive method for determination simglabrin in medical material and preparations of smilax glabra was established.
