OBSERVATION ON THE ANALGESIC EFFECT OF GALAKE FOR TREATMENT OF PAIN IN BREAST TUMOUR OPERATION

Abstract:OBJECTIVE: To observe the analgesic effect of oral Galake (dihydrocodeine tartrate and paracetamol) in 123 casesof breast tumour oprations using skin surface anesthesia. METHODS: 30 minutes before operation 2 tablets of Galake were given. RESULTS: Pain in 86 patients (70%) were fully relieved, 29 (23.5%) were obviously relieved, 4 (3.2%) were midly relieved, and 2 (1.6 % ) were slightly relieved. CONCLUSIONS: Galake is an effective and safe agent for relife pain in breast tumour operations with mild adverse reactions.
