Abstract:Panvascular diseases(PVD)are a class of chronic inflammatory disorders affecting multiple vascular beds throughout the body, characterized by lipid deposition, fibrosis and calcification in the arterial intima.Inflammation plays a central role throughout the onset, progression, and complications of PVD,influencing specific conditions such as coronary artery disease, diabetes and its complications. Moreover, the impact of PVD extends beyond the cardiovascular system to include cerebrovascular, renal, ocular, and other non-cardiovascular systems.Recent advancements have been made in the discovery of biomarkers, improvement of diagnostic tools, development of anti-inflammatory therapies and application of personalized medicine. This review summarizes the mechanisms of inflammation in PVD and highlights recent research progress, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to guide future research directions.
