Advances in the use and study of fenelidone in the treatment of heart failure

Abstract：Finerenone,a naphthoadenosine derivative based on the dihydropyridine(DHP-1)structure,has higher selectivity and stronger antagonistic efficacy against the mineralocorticoid receptor(MR)than steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists(MRA),enabling it to achieve potent MR blockade at lower doses.As a new breakthrough in the treatment of heart failure(HF),fenetyllone has unique advantages in blocking MR overactivation,reducing myocardial inflammation and fibrosis,and improving cardiac remodeling.Therefore,this article reviews the application and research progress of fenetyllone in HF treatment.
