Abstract:Protein kinase A(PKA)is one of the most thoroughly studied kinases in human biology and plays a crucial role in the regulation of cardiac structure and function.Recent studies have found that PKA can be activated through the classical cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)signaling pathway,as well as by non-classical activators.Activated PKA regulates multiple signaling pathways by phosphorylating different downstream substrates and participates in various life activities of the body.In cardiovascular diseases, abnormal activation or inhibition of the PKA pathway can become the pathogenesis of ischemic cardiomyopathy and heart failure.Therefore,in-depth research on the important role of PKA in the occurrence, development, and prevention and treatment of these cardiovascular diseases is expected to provide new targets for the clinical treatment of heart diseases.
