Developments of minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery in China

Abstract:Minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery(MICS)has rapidly advanced over the past few decades,serving as a critical complement to traditional open-chest cardiovascular procedures.This article provides a comprehensive overview of technological innovations and clinical applications in minimally invasive(including interventional)surgeries for valvular heart disease,atrial fibrillation,coronary artery disease,congenital heart disease,hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy,and aortic disease.Meanwhile,it explores the future potential of robot-assisted surgery,image-guided navigation,3D printing and artificial intelligence in MICS.Finally,the article discusses strategies for promoting MICS and its future development,emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and personalized treatment.
