Abstract：Heart failure is a major disease affecting life expectancy in China,with a steadily increasing incidence.For patients with end-stage heart failure,left ventricular assist device(LVAD)serves as a critical treatment option,either as a bridge or an alternative to heart transplantation.Recent studies have demonstrated the significant improvement in myocardial function in some patients with chronic heart failure after LVAD implantation,with these improvements persisting even after LVAD deactivation or removal.This has sparked significant interest among researchers.This article reviewes the clinical and basic research progress on cardiac function recovery in heart failure patients following LVAD implantation.
