Abstract:Cardiovascular diseases are a category of diseases with high disability and mortality rates.Numerous studies have shown that cardiovascular diseases are closely related to inflammation, immunity, injury, and repair.CXC motif chemokine ligand 1(CXCL1)is a member of the chemokine superfamily and plays a role in regulating inflammatory responses and promoting vascular remodeling.CXCL1 is involved in the fibrosis process of the cardiovascular system and can induce cardiovascular diseases such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, heart failure(HF)and atrial fibrillation(AF).Knocking out the CXCL1 gene or using a Chemokine Receptor 2 of the CXC family(CXCR2)receptor inhibitor can improve cardiac function and cardiac remodeling. This article aims to review the latest progress in the research on CXCL1 and cardiovascular diseases.
